Our hearts are broken today by the tragic high school shooting in Georgia. This senseless act of violence has left families devastated, a community in mourning, and a nation once again grappling with the harsh reality of gun violence in our schools. As a father, pastor, and candidate for Congress, I am deeply saddened by this loss of young lives and the trauma inflicted on countless others.
This tragedy underscores the urgent need for comprehensive gun reform and stronger safety measures to protect our children. No parent should have to fear for their child’s safety when they send them to school. We must come together as a community and a nation to demand action—action that prioritizes the safety of our students, educators, and all those who are vulnerable to gun violence.
As your representative, I will fight tirelessly to pass common-sense gun laws that ensure firearms do not end up in the wrong hands, while also supporting initiatives to improve mental health resources and school safety measures. Our campaign is committed to creating a safer environment for all, and this is a responsibility we must all take seriously.
My thoughts and prayers are with the victims, their families, and the entire community affected by this horrific event. We must honor their memory by working for the change that will prevent such tragedies from happening again. Together, we can build a future where our children can learn and grow without fear.
